After some busy months of delivering campaigns for existing clients, pitching and winning new business, and planning for 2021, we’ve been a bit quiet here on the blog – but there are lots of exciting developments going on at Unhooked Communications.

In particular, one project we’ve been looking forward to announcing is the appointment of Huddle Digital to develop our very own digital tool.

Investing in our own internal platform for data-driven, trend-led PR stories and content 

By gathering and analysing data from online channels, including social media networks, our own internal digital platform - Data Unhooked - will allow us to gather unique data and insights for trend-led PR stories and campaigns.

The first stage of the development will see us trial the digital tool for some of our existing clients – particularly businesses we support with construction PR and home interiors PR – before opening up this service to new clients and campaigns.

The importance of data, trends and insights for PR campaigns

Data-led trends and insights are key for our integrated PR campaigns, because they provide so many great opportunities for businesses to develop a range of content to support PR and marketing objectives. From news stories and thought leadership articles, to white papers, reports and seminars, there are lots of ways we use data to help our clients engage, educate and inform target audiences.

There are numerous methods we use to gather data and insights, but after failing to find an existing tool to meet our specific needs for some creative content ideas, we took the decision to develop our own. By building our own platform, we'll be able to explore what our clients’ customers are currently interested in online, reveal key trends in different sectors, and identify industry leaders and influencers. Not only will our new digital PR tool provide lots of great angles for our activity for press office and media relations, content marketing, and integrated PR campaigns, but it will build invaluable insights our clients can use for their own market research and business development.
