Fastest growing flooring retailer appoints Unhooked Communications

As a specialist home interiors PR agency, we're thrilled to announce one of our newest client wins.

Connection Flooring Ltd, which is the parent company behind the Flooring SuperstoreDirect Wood Flooring and Grass Direct brands, has appointed Unhooked Communications to carry out its PR activity as it looks to accelerate its rapid business growth.

Founded in 2012, the County Durham-based flooring company scaled to £18million turnover within its first five years of trading, selling directly to consumers online.  Over the last three years it has grown to over £30million turnover thanks to rolling out retail stores across the UK, investing in its own national distribution network and continuing to improve its ecommerce offering. Earlier this year, Connection Flooring completed a £5million investment from Growth Partner, the Yorkshire-based investment first of HomeServe Plc founder and CEO Richard Harpin.

Now, we will manage and carry out its ongoing PR activity to support its continued growth, which will include 25 new stores added to its current portfolio of 22 in 2021 and a number of new product launches.

Driven by trends and insights, we will carry out media relations to engage directly with consumers, drive traffic to the three brand websites, and encourage people to visit the stores. This will be teamed with corporate communications to raise the profile of Connection Flooring and its associated brands, positioning it as a forward-thinking and fast growing business in the home interiors industry.
